3D Models in Stem Cell Biology Teaching and Learning.

3D Printing models to illustrate concepts in scientific teaching is promising to revolutionise the transfer and sharing of academic knowledge. The models shown here (clockwise from top left) are a stylised blastocyst with inner cell mass cells (embryonic stem cells), an outer ear mould for tissue engineering, a model of a heart, and a stylised epiphysis of a femur to illustrate the haematopoietic stem cell niche.
